McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School welcomes the involvement of alumni, parents and the community at large.  As a non-profit, Catholic educational organization, McGann-Mercy High School depends upon contributions to support the advent and expansion of our school.

There are many ways to support McGann-Mercy including, but not limited to, monetary gifts, gifts of stock and securities, planned giving, in-kind donations and by volunteering your time and/or talent.

Giving to Mercy allows one the opportunity to support more than 50 years of exemplary education which has been provided to more than 7,000 students.  More specifically, contributions provide tuition assistance to needy and deserving students and helps Mercy to retain and attract the best faculty for our students.  It also supports the beautification of our campus and provides state of the art technology and an innovative curriculum.

Special thanks to all of you who are already supporting McGann-Mercy Diocesan High School.  Your support has made a significant impact on the school!  For those of you who are considering becoming our partner, we look forward to your participation and hope that you take time to review the many ways to become involved.  If you would like more information on McGann-Mercy High School or would like to make a contribution, please contact Debbie Kneidl, Development Office, at 631.727.5900, ext. 334 or via email at dkneidl@mcgann-mercy.org.

Ways to Give

  • Gifts of Cash:  Most gifts to Mercy are outright cash contributions, allowing donors to receive full tax benefits.
  • Gifts of Securities:  A gift to Mercy of appreciated securities either publicly traded or from a private company may provide greater tax advantages than gifts of cash.  The donor can deduct the current fair-market value as a charitable gift and completely avoid capital gains tax on appreciation.
  • Planned/Estate Giving:  You may incorporate charitable giving into your overall financial, tax and estate plans.  In doing so, you have the ability to maximize personal and family benefits while securing the future of McGann-Mercy High School.
  • Employee Matching Programs:  Many companies have come to recognize the value of philanthropy.  They often match or multiply donations made to non-profit organizations by their employees.  Those who wish to enhance the value of their gift should contact the human resources department of their employer about matching gift opportunties.
